Inge Morath (1923-2002) was the first woman to work at the MAGNUM agency, a legendary institution for high-quality photojournalism that is still dominated by men today. Born in Graz and raised in Darmstadt and Berlin, she learnt photography from Ernst Haas in Vienna, Simon Guttman in London and Henri Cartier-Bresson in Paris before Robert Capa brought her to MAGNUM in 1955.
